Well crew, unfortunately not too much to report this week due to some persistent rain in the wake of cyclone Charlotte which also sucked up all our wind. We should also note here that with us all being spoiled here in Agnes Water with consistent blue skies and clear waters as soon as the grey overcast weather sets in we get a bit lethargic and head for the video store.
The 14th, 15th, and 16th saw us on the couch with action flicks, reviewing our home brand kite movies to get tips from each others techniques, seeing where we can improve our moves and laughing at our wipeouts.
Holly came out for her last lesson on the 17th, getting up on the board a few times and gaining the confidence she needed before heading back to Western Australia where we sincerely hope she will continue to practice her moves and find some good kiteboarding crew to fly the Western Beaches with.
Sunday the 18th found us back in the Deepwater National Park with a huge crew, Richie, Jerry, Luke, Alan, Cedric all enjoying the 20-25 knot Sou’easterly getting in some good jumps, Bradley on rental gear continuing his training , Craig working on his form and getting some good rides and Kieran getting his final lesson, up on the board with ease, finding his groove, he’s off and flying.
We stayed local on the 19th at Agnes Water Main Beach in a cruisy 15-20 knot sou’easterly with Scott from Brisbane joining us to check out the scene.
Hoping for the Northerlies to return over the next few days and the skies to clear before the couch sores start festering.
BRING ON THE WIND!!!
